Biloxi Marsh Lands Corporation

Biloxi Marsh Lands Corporation (BLMC) and Lake Eugenie Land & Development, Inc. (LKEU) BLMC and LKEU are the owners of approximately 150,000 acres of mostly marsh land all of which is located in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana. Each company’s ownership of the property dates back to the early 1900s and makes BLMC and LKEU together the largest landowners in the Parish of St. Bernard. It is important to note that revenues derived by BLMC and LKEU from oil and gas exploration and development are what makes the establishment of The Fund possible. This property owned by BLMC and LKEU is non-commercial wetlands and no monies from the fund can be used in enhancing their property. Each company allows hunting and fishing activities to take place on their property through private hunting and fishing leases. Remarkably, for nearly fifty years BLMC has allowed the public to hunt, fish, view and enjoy wildlife free of charge on 39,583 acres of its property through very low cost contractual lease arrangement with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries to establish and maintain the Biloxi Wildlife Management Area (Biloxi-WMA). BLMC owns the Biloxi-WMA. For additional information on BLMC see www.biloximarshlandscorp.com.
